 TODAY WHAT IF

I spent 5 minutes contemplating something beautiful like a picture of a sunset, a lit candle etc…Would this help me to touch a deeper aspect of myself that is not affected by the worries of the day?

Now what about 10 minutes…

Nearly all the diverse religions and teachings that I have come across have at least one thing in common - the essential use of a piece of 'quiet time' for meditation or reflection.

The way that I like to see it is that the mind uses energy just as the body does.  Now it is clear that if the body requires rest as well as play, then so does the mind!

It appears that it is in these rest periods that the mind can gain a clearer view of its purpose, which in my opinion is to enhance the experience of living.

"All mans miseries stem from his inability to sit quietly in a room alone" - Blaise Pascal

There are two ways to live your life. One as though nothing is a miracle. The other as though everything is.

If you fail to go within you will go without.
